More information about the different types of flagpoles
Residential
This is a flagpole that people will install in their homes so they can fly the flag outside. Most people use a standard aluminum pole or they can use a telescoping flagpole. These are common in the front and the back yards. While most areas allow flagpoles a person should check with their local ordinance so they can be sure they are allowed to have their flagpole.
Commercial
can be mounted in different places including the rooftop or even a concrete slab. There is the external halyard pole which is the most affordable and most common option for most businesses. Another popular option is the internal halyard. This will look great outside the building and will really make a statement. For those that do not have as much room but still want to proudly fly a flag, there is the sectional flagpole.
Indoor
If a person wants to put their flag indoors they can get a special flagpole. This pole is often seen in government buildings such as schools which will allow the flag to be proudly displayed indoors. There are special brackets that can be used to hold the pole in place but allow the flag the freedom to wave and move. This installation will put the pole on an existing foundation
Telescoping Flagpole
This flagpole will allow a person to avoid knots and tangles when they are displaying the flag. This will set this up to the height that they want and everything will click into place. This makes it easy to install and thing else has to be done. The flag can also be rotated if needed. They can also be sent to lean at different angles.
Installation
Aluminum finishes are popular but there is always the risk of chipping and rust. The anodized finish means that the flagpole will not have paint so chipping will not be an issue. There are different installation processes that go with the different types of flagpoles. Some of these methods can be done at home while others may need the assistance of a professional.
